HP Only is a single-stat, full-playthrough challenge in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. In this run, the player plays through the game without ever upgrading FP or BP.
Rules[]
- Only upgrade Heart Points (HP) upon leveling up.
- Do not equip FP Plus.
- Do not equip Badges that require 1 or more BP to use (optional).
Paper Mario[]
While it is possible to finish Paper Mario without ever upgrading FP or BP, the player can only achieve this by avoiding almost all optional battles. Due to the HP cap, an HP Only run is not considered an "official" challenge category in Paper Mario.
